Grout

I offer my guilty

hands coated in gritty grey

grout pulsing through my digits

pressing toward the holey

walls smearing soot,

leaving the ashy remnants

along perfect porcelain.

Soon imperfect lines weaved in

imperfect bricks make

the faulty finished product

a beautiful, mess.
